Kendra Neufeld
Instructor
Kendra Neufeld has been dancing at the Shelley Shearer School of Dance since the age of four. Growing up at the studio, she trained in a wide range of dance disciplines including ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, musical theatre. She is grateful for the opportunities the studio has offered her, including workshop learning, partaking in conventions, and competing with the invitational program at elite competitions (CNDC, Move, MDF, Thunderstruck). Musical Theatre specifically sparked interest in Kendra, where she trained as a soloist, in addition to working extensively with private vocal coaches, and completion of piano and vocal examinations with the Royal Conservatory of Music. Kendra began teaching dance at the age of seventeen, focusing predominantly on pre-school and tap levels. With Kendra’s admiration for fine arts, she pursued a post-secondary career majoring in theatre. In tandem, she pursued an integrated education degree with University of Winnipeg specializing in arts education. Kendra hopes to learn, teach, and bring music opportunities to the youth in the school system. Kendra is devoted to her students, and continues to instill her passion for dance at pre-school dance levels.
