Kim Salamandyk “Miss Kim” has been a staple in the Winnipeg Dance Community for 25 yearsas a teacher and choreographer. Widely known for her students and programs to be clean, precise, stylistic and fluid. Delivering best in class instruction to recreational, competitive, and dance career focussed students.
Miss Kim has garnered an outstanding level of training from all over the world including her Royal Winnipeg Ballet Teacher Training Certificate, the National Ballet School of Canada’s Teachers Certification, and Fully Certified Acrobatic Arts Modules 1 and 2, Acrobatic Arts Pre-Primary to Pre-Professional Levels 1-10. In addition to absorbing a plethora of training through her career with the NYC Dance Teachers Summit, the Broadway Dance Center teacher workshop, Edge Performing Arts Center L.A, Minnesota Ballet Arts, Dance Educators of America as an assistant, the Paris Dance Tour workshops, and so much more.
Competing globally with her teams, Miss Kim has helped her students earn championships in Orlando, New York, L.A, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, at home in Winnipeg and beyond. With top performances in competitions such as the IDO World Championships, and the Dance World Cup. At home, her students over the years have drawn a slew of scholarships, and adjudicatorschoice awards at the Manitoba Dance Festival and top awards at local competitions. Always pursuing what the world of dance can do for others, Kim has lent her abilities in choreography and athletic training to high school musical theater programs, champion synchronized swimming teams, and competitive figure skaters.
Above all the accolades and awards, Miss Kim strives for every single student to enjoy the world of dance through camaraderie, inclusiveness, and engagement in a healthy and positive team-oriented environment.
