Marisa Westman
Instructor
Marissa has grown up at the Shelley Shearer School of Dance since the age of 3. She has trained in many styles such as ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary and musical theater. Through her dance career she has competed at many Winnipeg competitions and attended conventions throughout Canada. Marissa has been teaching at the studio since the age of 17. Shortly after, she started teaching in the invitational program, and has been able to choreograph for both group pieces as well as solos.
While dancing and teaching at the studio Marissa was in school full time and received her Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and also earned her Masters degree in Physical Therapy. She plans to use her passion for dance and movement to help with her career as a Physiotherapist.
Marissa is excited to share her love of dance with her students and looks forward to another great year.
