Lianna Zhang
Instructor
Lianna has been dancing at Shelley Shearer School of Dance since the age of 4, the start of her journey began in the dance studio in her pretty pink tights and pink leotard. She grew up to be a part of the invitational program, training in styles such as ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and modern. She was given the opportunity to compete at the national level, attending Candance Nationals 2024 and placing amongst the top 10 Teen Miss dancers! Lianna has participated in annual local dance competitions including Candance, Canadian National Dance Championships, and View, earning herself multiple awards and scholarships throughout the years. She has performed on behalf of the Winnipeg Chinese Senior Association for their cultural events like Chinese New Year and the Manitoba Chinese Business Gala. She finds relaxation in the dance studio, allowing herself to express emotions through movements on the stage and inspire the younger dancers. Lianna is very enthusiastic about sharing her passion for dance in hopes to encourage the younger dancers to love dance just as much as she does.
