Rebecca Pchajek

Rebecca has been a part of Shelley Shearer School of Dance for over 20 years. Rebecca started dancing at Shelley Shearer at the age of three, joined the invitational program at the age of six, and joined the Shelley Shearer faculty at the age of fifteen. Rebecca has trained and competed in many disciplines including: Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Open. Rebecca has completed all levels of the ISTD ballet exams up to and including the Advanced 1 exam. Rebecca has competed and received awards at many competitions for group, solo, duo, and trio performances. Rebecca first represented Canada at the IDO World Ballet/Jazz Championships in Florida at the age of seven, and then later at the IDO World Championships in New York and Niagara Falls, where her ballet and jazz teams won Gold and Silver medals each time. At the age of nine Rebecca received a Junior Ballet Scholarship from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet at the Manitoba Dance Festival. Rebecca has travelled across North America participating in many dance conventions over the years including Triple Threat, Jump, Nuvo, The Dance Awards, and The Pulse on Tour, being awarded multiple scholarships and awards from these events. Rebecca was also an Assistant Choreographer for the Opening Ceremony of the Human Rights Museum. Rebecca is extremely passionate about dance and educating the younger generations, making her extremely excited about sharing her love and knowledge of dance with her students.
