Roxanne Tackie

Roxanne began dancing at the age of 3, training in ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, modern and hip hop. As a competitive dancer, she had the opportunity to train across North America and earned numerous accomplishments, including “Best Rhythm Tapper.” She discovered her passion for teaching shortly after graduating, and has since taught and choreographed for recreational and competitive dancers in tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and ballet. Her choreography has received numerous awards including "best concept" and "best choreography."
Roxanne is also a dance adjudicator, workshop instructor and faculty member with Terpsichore Dance Convention. She has had the privilege of travelling across Canada to teach and adjudicate, connecting with dancers and educators from studios and communities across the country. She continues to develop her craft through participating in classes, workshops and jam sessions. She brings an energetic and encouraging approach to her classes, with a focus on musicality, rhythm, technique and expressiveness, while helping dancers build confidence, discipline and a genuine love of dance.
