Tasha Farmer

Tasha Farmer started her dance journey at the age of 9.  She has trained extensively in all dance genres including Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Tap and Musical Theatre with numerous world renowned choreographers, having received countless awards and scholarships for her performances.

Having trained, competed and performed professionally across North America in such cities as New York, Chicago, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and Niagara Falls, Tasha has had numerous opportunities to perform with artists such as Weird Al, Dean Brody, One Republic, Alessia Cara and The Reklaws.  She has loved her time performing in Grey Cup half time shows, along with dancing, acting and choreographing for many movies and music videos.  A priceless memory was having represented Canada at the IDO World Hip Hop Championships in Graz, Austria. 

Tasha is the Head Choreographer and cheerleader for the Winnipeg Sea Bears Cheer Team.  She had been a cheerleader for the Blue Bomber Cheer & Dance Team for 5 years, and is currently a valued member of their staff, having coached the 12-16 year old Junior Bomber Dance Team, and currently coaches the age 16 & up Gold Dance Team.  

Alongside holding her Bachelor of Education degree and being an adored school teacher, Tasha is certified in dance instruction and education with Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (ADAPT). She adjudicates and judges Canadian dance competitions and is passionate about promoting the highest standards of technical excellence dance training has to offer. 

Tasha is an exceptional influence in the dance community.  Through her past decade of dance instruction, she creates an energetic, safe and inviting space for dancers to learn, and her dedication to the art of dance naturally carries a presence in her teaching.  She hopes to continue inspiring future generations of dancers!
