Designed for the student striving towards a professional dance career or just interested in expanded dance opportunities.
The Pre Professional Program focuses on additional choreography, training and travel performances outside of Winnipeg.
Students must be enrolled in the Shelley Shearer School of Dance full-time Invitational Program they were invited to.
We are currently working with schools in Manitoba such as Vincent Massey through the Sports & Arts Program, where our Pre Professional Program dancers have the ability to re-arrange their academic schedules to be able to dance with us during the daytime on weekdays in addition to all our invitational program classes on evenings and weekends. By training with us, our dancers are able to receive school credit and can therefore miss sports and arts classes such as gym, band, art, theatre and dance that are offered in academic schools.

Under the direction of Stephanie Rutherford, Rutherford Movement Exchange is one of Canada’s top dance events hosted in Toronto and Winnipeg. A space designed to help nature dancers that are looking to grow in a safe and supportive environment. Join our experience and learn from some of Canada's top dance educators, movement specialists and choreographers. Meet new dancer's of all ages from all over Canada and experience the magic of RME.

JUMP is proud to be the largest dance convention in the world, touring to 28 US cities and 4 international cities. A typical convention weekend lasts from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon and is jam-packed with all things DANCE! Each event includes a top-rate workshop in numerous styles of dance: Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz Funk, Musical Theatre, Lyrical and Ballroom. JUMP also offers a first-class competition with fair, credible judging in a fun and supportive environment. The weekend concludes with a fantastic closing show, scholarship presentations and faculty performances!
JUMP’s mission is to have dancers of all ages and levels return to their dance studio feeling more motivated and inspired!
